silly&foolish&spring

happy belated april fools day!
some silly, foolish, and spring time things...

The other day in my lit class, my teacher was giving a lecture about using formal language on our literary analysis (no "I", "We", "Us", etc). She was frantically screaming and then looked at the board where she had written "formal language ONLY!!!!" and shouted "how many more times do i have to say that?!?" she then whipped her head to the front in a somewhat crouched stanze and yelled "I don't know!!" she eyed the class with her head shaking from tension.
...I couldn't hold it in. I shook in my seat as my the ends of my lips curled up. And then I lost it.
I could NOT stop laughing. Tears streamed down my cheeks with symmetrical mascara streaks but I couldn't stop. The teacher looked at me for a second in awe. "I'm sorry, this shouldn't be funny," I gasped. And then she burst out laughing. The rest of the class just stared.

other foolish things:
-After BYU beat Gonzaga, I tweaked my bracket, putting BYU further into the championship (I originally hadn't put them as beating Gonzaga). They lost the next game.
-Jimmy Fallon's hashtag game: greatest prank ever pulled: "convinced my foreign girlfriend that a douche bag (as opposed to a doggy bag) was what you asked for at a restaurant when you wanted the leftovers to go"

song I've played a dozen times this week: Linger by the Cranberries...
You know I'm such a fool for you...

seventeen

Here's to a rough week with random moments of bliss

-firstly the birthday (so good, thanks to all)
-the random visits with people bearing goodies (ben&jerry, youve been so good to me)
then some yucky stuff in the middle. (tests, pain from lack of wisdom teeth, certain grandmothers)
-making someones knees a little weak (not a boyfriend, not a love interest, but it still felt nice to baffle him)
-some black platform booties form urban coming my way (with bows on the side..!)
-a very fun halftime performed (hip hop with the hair down and some nike kicks)
...red lipstick...
-ke$ha concert with my best friend on the salt flats (terribly fun...maybe a little wild)

this list makes me so grateful to be a teenager...which reminds me. I think I'll buy a ticket for the katy perry summer concert. ah yes. being a teenager is great.

miss hepburn

I've been reading "how to be lovely" lately, a compilation of Audrey Hepburn interviews. And as much as I like to think I'm growing into someone as classy as miss hepburn, I've realized I'm not.

You see,
I'm too spontaneous to be responsible,
I'm too giddy to be poised,
& I'm too selfish to be selfless.

And you know what? I'm perfectly okay with that.

Life has been good lately. Except for the [bad word-y] sickness I've contracted from my fellow dancers, a lot is making me happy. I've been curling my hair this week and won't complain about the double-takes i've been getting. All the 5:30 a.m waking up is ending soon. The birthday is coming up. & lastly, Jcrew's latest collection is stunning. (friends&family, pay close attention to those last two sentences;) )

class, confessions, and cars

For some odd reason, I also have a minor obsession with cars..I usually don't really tell people because I'm somewhat embarrassed by this obsession. I swoon every time I see a Mercedes, Audi, Lexus and the occasional Lamborghinis and Ferraris (Park City is always full of these). Call me vein.
My dream car is a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder; black on black. 0-62 in 4 seconds, top speed 201 mph.
My more "realistic" dream car is a Mercedes cl600 black on black.
I also love Jeeps...the wrangler unlimited is another dream of mine (it would of course be black.)

So when Mercedes came out with this ad:
I thought it was the best thing ever.

****

Best car commercial?

I'm not too crazy about the car but I love the ad.

holiday: vampire weekend

For some unknown reason, I love this ad. I saw it in literally every cab in New York. I just think it's kinda fun..It's like an incredibly happy & bright version of  The Royal Tenenbaums. The kids with curly hair are like Chas's kids. The girls in sunglasses remind me of Margot.  The elderly fellow is like Royal. I dunno. It's bizarre and random but kinda perfect. It's homey and family-y.

I suppose these things correlate with home and family:

I want her gold skirt...

caption reads "sometimes, home is just a feeling." love this louis vuitton luggage
